The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems to deploy applications to Cloud and On-Premises Server infrastructure. The position plays a central role in defining and implementing Dev Ops best practices throughout the organization. The position is highly visible and frequently collaborates with various levels of IT leadership. They will be partnering with a fellow DevOps Architect to support 5 separate development teams, and depending on their progress, could take on an additional 3-4 development teams. They will be supporting deployments, identifying gaps, and identifying areas of improvement as well as opportunities for automation. The goal is that in a future state, deployments can be fully automated. This role will be fully remote, working PST hours, and a 12 month contract to hire position.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Computer Science or closely related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in setting up DevOps practices enterprise wide
Minimum of 3 years building Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery Systems
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience building and leading DevOps teams and deploying complex software
3+4 years of experience working with modern source control tools like Github, Bitbucket, Azure Dev Ops Server, TFS, etc (preferably Azure Dev Ops)
3+4 years of experience with automated configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform (preferably Ansible and Terraform)
3+4 years of experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Altassian Bamboo, TeamCity, Azure Dev Ops Server, etc. (preferably Azure DevOps, some Atlassian still used)
2-3 years of experience with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
2-3 years of experience working in Scrum teams with planning, scoping, and creation of technical solutions for new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production
