Job Description: The Landmark Conference, a 10-member NCAA Division III athletic conference, is accepting applications for a postgraduate, part-time internship opportunity.
The position is a part-time, 10-month, administrative position without benefits (1099 contractor). The anticipated start date for the position is August 14, 2023, and will run through June 14, 2024.
This unique opportunity is geared to recent undergraduates with an interest in pursuing a career in collegiate athletics while gaining invaluable experience in a remote conference office setting. All recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
The position will assist in all aspects of conference operations with emphasis on communications, social media, website management, championship, and general administration. The position will also offer an opportunity for individuals to gain additional knowledge and experience in a specified field of choice (such as Compliance, Marketing, Sports Information, Fundraising etc.)
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to be managed remotely. Candidates are expected to reside in the geographic footprint of the conference (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and/or Washington, D.C.). Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and the ability to commit a minimum of 25-hours per week to the position during normal working hours. Certain times of the year will require travel, night, and weekend work. Your schedule may vary during these times to accommodate evening and weekend work. These dates will be communicated to the applicant in advance. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines is a must.
A strong desire or demonstrated commitment to work in the field of intercollegiate athletics is required while a focus or undergraduate experience at the NCAA Division III level is preferred.
Exceptional verbal, written, and online communication skills are essential. Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time. Must have proficient computer skills.

Compensation:The position pays $20,000 (issued in 10, $2,000 monthly stipends). The conference will also provide necessary technology and subscriptions to support the position.
This position is a part-time, 1099 contractor position that is not eligible for benefits.
Further, the conference is committed to a robust professional development slate for the candidate which will include travel and expenses paid to attend the 2024 NCAA Convention. The conference office will also work with its member institutions to arrange additional professional development opportunities for the individual on our respective campuses.
