Internship, Motion Designer, Product Knowledge, North America Sales Operations (Winter/Spring 2024)

The Role
Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around January or February 2024 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e. through May 2024) or into Spring/Summer 2024 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Please consider before submitting an application.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Our year-round program places the best students in positions where they will grow technically, professionally, and personally through their experience working closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team. The Team
Tesla’s Product Knowledge team is responsible for ensuring that Tesla’s global employees and customers are knowledgeable about Tesla’s products and the ways in which they contribute to Tesla’s mission. Our team manages company-wide product updates, supports events, and partners with technical and non-technical teams throughout the business on product messaging. We pride ourselves on creating fun, engaging, accessible, learner-friendly content that models Tesla culture and results in employees and customers alike feeling confident in and connected to Tesla’s products. This educational content includes internal communications, reference guides, online courses, live instructor-led sessions, and, notably, videos. We cover our solar, energy storage vehicle offerings, their accessories, and the software and firmware that support them. We’re a small, highly visible team with a large and important body of work. As such, the pace is fast and change is constant. We’re always juggling multiple projects. We also benefit from a huge variety of work (no two weeks are the same) and we have fun doing it. Plus, we get to work closely with the most exciting products in the world.

Responsibilities
• Create visually compelling motion graphics and animations for our videos across various platforms
• Collaborate with the Design team to incorporate UI elements for showcasing software features
• Produce high-quality designs for different mediums (video, presentation, digital, print, and more) that adhere closely to Tesla’s visual design principles
• Own and manage projects, working with stakeholders from pre-production to post
• Set up creative reviews to openly share feedback and adjust art direction and strategy as necessary

Requirements
• Pursuing an Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• An ability to critically think about design, user interface, and motion in video
• An impeccable attention to detail in all types of work
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma is required
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro, and/or Microsoft enterprise suite of applications is beneficial
• Prior experience in UI/UX, 3D rendering, marketing, and/or video production preferred
• Required: A portfolio showcasing strong grasp on the fundamentals of motion graphics and design

      $19.23 – $26.92 + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
