Inventory Control Team Lead

Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Inventory Control Team Lead

OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Team Lead is responsible for managing inventory, executing order and fulfillment activities within a fast-paced production environment. The Team Lead will provide employee direction and assist supervisors in controlling and executing all processes within assigned areas. Ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of company specifications. Follow all health and safety standards and enforce the use of PPE’s.

Compensation $19/hr

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute fulfillment activities, including receiving, putting away, picking, and shipping
  • Achieve key metrics across inventory and fulfillment and communicate inventory metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintain real-time and accurate inventory records and visibility
  • Control daily operations and monitor workflow within assigned areas to ensure accuracy within all processes
  • Conduct investigations into discrepancies and inconsistencies in distribution processes
  • Assist with identifying departmental process improvements
  • Responsible for employee training within assigned areas, including review of SOPs
  • May be required to step in and assist with warehouse, forklift or clerk duties
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses
  • All other tasks assigned by Supervisor or Plant Management

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include weekends
  • Ability to tolerate short periods of exposure to freezer temperatures
  • Customer service approach
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel

Experience / Education

  • General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in an Inventory Management and/or Supply Chain role
  • Previous experience within a logistics and inventory warehouse environment
  • Experience with warehouse (WMS), operations (OMS), and enterprise (ERP) management systems a plus
  • Must be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and/or equipment utilization
