DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Conduct detailed valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, public comparables, precedent transactions, ability-to-pay analysis by analyzing financial statements and performing industry, market, and company research. Develop complex financial models to predict the implication of transaction structures, macro trends, and projection assumptions. Engage with Media & Communications clients to analyze and provide advice on strategic alternatives, capital structure, and financial policy matters. Draft teasers and investor presentations to articulate the transaction’s investment highlights, as well as clients’ competitive advantages, go-to-market strategy, and financial profile. Coordinate due diligence, transaction structuring, and negotiations on documentation with clients, lawyers, accountants, and other advisors. Interview analyst candidates, conduct training sessions on corporate finance topics and internal procedures, and manage direct reports on deal teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Bloomberg; Financial Modeling; Accounting Statement Analysis; Public and Private Securities; Building Valuation Models; Discounted Cash Flow Models; Leveraged Buyout Models; Advising on financings, including the placement of debt, common and preferred equity, and hybrid securities for both public and private companies; Creating Sales Force Memorandums, Investment Teasers, Confidential Information Memoranda, Lender Presentations, Pitch Presentations, Analyst Presentations, and Roadshow Presentations; and Corporate Finance fundamentals, including Investment and Capital Budgeting, Capital Financing decisions and Dividends and Capital Return Analysis. Must pass series 63 and 79TO licenses within 60 days of starting.
