Investment Guideline Monitoring Associate

The Role

An investment guideline monitoring associate is responsible for ensuring that investment portfolios and funds are managed in accordance with applicable investment guidelines, regulations, and restrictions.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Review and interpret investment guidelines: The investment guideline compliance associate will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting investment guidelines, restrictions, and regulations. This may include reviewing client investment management agreements, regulatory requirements, and other relevant documents.
  • Monitor investment portfolios: The investment guideline compliance associate will be responsible for monitoring pre and post trade compliance for client portfolios to ensure that they are in compliance with investment guidelines and restrictions. This may involve reviewing trades, portfolio allocations, and other investment decisions.
  • Maintain compliance records: The investment guideline compliance associate will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of compliance activities, including reports and documentation related to investment guideline monitoring, testing, and reporting.
  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders: The investment guideline compliance associate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that investment portfolios are in compliance with investment guidelines and restrictions. This may involve communicating compliance issues or potential violations to stakeholders and working with them to resolve any issues.
  • Conduct compliance testing: The investment guideline compliance associate will be responsible for conducting periodic compliance testing and reviews to ensure that investment guidelines and restrictions are being adhered to. This may involve working with portfolio managers and other stakeholders to identify potential compliance issues and developing strategies to address them.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes: The investment guideline compliance associate will be responsible for staying up-to-date on regulatory changes and developments that may impact investment guidelines and restrictions. This may involve researching and analyzing regulatory changes, attending industry conferences and events, and participating in other professional development activities.

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in investment compliance or a related field
  • Strong understanding of investment regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $90,000 – $120,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
