OVERVIEW

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an integrated battery metals company with a unique value proposition with both primary and secondary leveraging new technologies. ABTC is uniquely positioned to increase the domestic US production of battery metals, through recycling, extraction, and proprietary refining technologies, while ensuring that these materials are returned to the manufacturing supply chain to facilitate the transition to a circular low carbon energy economy.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Director of Investor Relations, you will work with our CFO and CEO to lead the planning, development, and execution of all investor outreach activities of the company.

Reporting to ABTC’s CFO, you will be accountable for establishing our investor relations function to ensure that ABTC is strategically positioned with external audiences, including institutional investors and research analysts. In particular, you will be expected to build relationships with key investor targets and help increase the company’s investor base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Develop and execute a plan for proactive investor outreach for key groups of potential investors.

– Develop and maintain relationships with the investment community and establish a strategy for overall engagement.

– Support the development of investor communications including press releases, investor conferences, investment analyst meetings, road shows, earnings scripts, and quarterly earnings presentations.

– Manage the Investor Relations calendar, CRM and website and organize the company’s participation in investor conferences, analyst meetings and roadshows.

– Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, market insights, and shareholder matters.

– Review equity research reports, and event transcripts and follow industry developments to inform senior leadership of relevant market and industry news.

– Track estimates from covering sell-side analysts across multiple financial and business metrics.

– Deliver market insights and intelligence, serve as Wall Street conduit, know/understand prevailing market environment and relevant industry developments, conduct daily and real-time market monitoring, peer financial reporting, analyst commentary, and support communications team with financial media coverage ABTC communications/marketing team.

– Collaborate across the company with business leads, strategy, and communications to develop a deep understanding of our business help shape the investment narrative, and maintain consistency of messaging.

– Manage the earnings and annual shareholder meetings including review meetings, outreach to the business to gather themes, development of materials such as scripts, presentations Q&A, and supporting documents, and C-Suite preparation.

– Be the primary point of contact for retail shareholders; committed to providing accurate, consistent, and timely responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Qualifications

*Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant business degree or equivalent work experience.

– 5+ years working with investors in an investor relations capacity and/or working with public market investors in another capacity, such as a sell-side / buy-side research analyst or in an equity capital markets group at an investment bank.

– Credibility with the investor community, including research analysts.

– High degree of financial literacy.

– Outstanding communication skills.

– Executive maturity and presence and ability to work with all levels of the organization as well as external audiences.
