IOP Program Assistant – Temp

BHcare is currently seeking an IOP Program Assistant – Temp directly responsible to Clinicians and IOP Clinician/Coordinator for providing behavioral support to children during group and generally responsible for administrative program support and case coordination to assigned group caseload.

Accountable and responsible for the following results:

  • Weekly prepare and disseminate to IOP staff a list of clients due to see Psychiatrist.
  • File collateral information in client’s chart.
  • Maintain information regarding weekly group activities.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for the program.
  • Contact prior treatment providers to expedite releases of information.
  • During program hours, assist children in complying with level system and program rules, and work with clinician to maintain safety and full participation of each group member.
  • Case management, collateral contact and documentation for assigned group caseload.
  • Provide individual help or attention to clients as requested during crisis.
  • Attend weekly team supervision.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • May be required to use own vehicle on company business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services related field required.
  • One year of experience in a setting serving children and adolescents with mental, behavioral or special education needs in a paraprofessional position is preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer applications, and if applicable ability to navigate through electronic health record.
