The 21st Century Cyber Charter School has an immediate vacancy for a ISD Coordinator.

LOCATION:
The incumbent in this position will report to and work out of one of our school campus locations – West Chester (Eastern PA) or Murrysville (Western PA), based on the incumbent’s permanent address.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position has the primary responsibility to coordinate the ISD team in the process of curriculum management , including but not limited to uploading curriculum into the learning management system (LMS), stream and upload of digital media, repair course files and basic coding. Included in this responsibility is assisting with the daily maintenance within the LMS to keep courses current and up to date, along with minor course content and/or application repairs that may be required. The ISD Coordinator will be responsible for researching and understanding future changes within the LMS and their implications on the school as a whole, including preparation, implementation and trouble-shooting.

The ISD Coordinator may be required to overview curriculum development procedures to ensure high quality digital delivery of curriculum to meet state-mandated academic standards.

This position will provide support to the ISD team, Curriculum Committee and school teaching staff in context of developing digital materials to be used for 21CCCS online courses.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. This position will communicate with the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment and the Administrative team in order to make decisions on assigned projects. Close collaboration with the Director of Instruction, and Assessment, Content Developers, Director of Technology, Department Heads, Principals is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage the LMS including potential changes that may impact the school.
  2. Manage external resources used within the function of the ISD team, including PO’s.
  3. Evaluate and employ innovative technologies to enhance the interactivity and functionality of the materials & content. Determine the optimal processes for creation and delivery of digital content
  4. Support organizational instructional/educational technology goals and initiatives by remaining current with developments in instructional technology; researching, being knowledgeable of and anticipating technological advancements that 21CCCS can integrate into curriculum to engage students and provide 21CCCS with a competitive edge.
  5. Research, create and evaluate instructional materials/content, collaborating with Department Heads and instructional designers to produce original, excellent quality digital materials/content that partners with and forms the basis of core class content in 21CCCS online courses offered to 21CCCS students, and school districts/Intermediate Units through Partnership initiatives.
  6. Ensure that all developed components (digital course materials, content, media, etc.) meet, and where possible exceed, current academic standards. Materials and/or content must be developed to a high standard of accuracy.
  7. Works closely with the ISD Team to create/adopt comprehensive style guidelines for primary and sub-projects, ensuring that they are executed and maintained in a consistent manner throughout the development process for all 21CCCS original instructional materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

  1. In depth experience with/knowledge of online educational learning management platforms, technologies and E-book development tools such as Moodle.
  2. Competency with computers, computer software (to include, but not limited to: MS Office Suite, FileMaker, Adobe).
  3. Ability to successfully complete long-term projects that may require the application of repetitive processes to ensure uniformity across all 21CCCS course offerings.
  4. Organizational and project-management skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, function independently and collaboratively, multi-task and meet required deadlines.
  5. Research-based experience developing digital curriculum, incorporating state core educational requirements, with a focus on the methodology of online course delivery.
  6. Must have strong knowledge of editorial, production and digital product development. In depth knowledge of, application and compliance with copyright constraints is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education & Experience
1. Bachelors degree in a related field (could include but not limited to: Computer Programming & Information Systems, Communication/Journalism, English, Instructional Systems Design)

2. Instructional Systems design, curriculum design experience preferred (3-5 years).

3. Teaching certification with minimum 1-3 years experience in public education in PA

B. Professional or Other Required Certifications

1.Teaching certification essential.
