Description
Under the general supervision of the User Support and Service Manager, this position is responsible for optimizing, supporting, and training software applications for the County. This includes planning, oversight, implementation, completion, and continual assessment of each application. This role will work with departments to collect, analyze, document, and communicate business needs, requirements, and other information to IT.
Examples of Duties
Performs quality control review before applications go into service to detect errors. Provide User support for new and existing applications. Work with vendor support and IT to identify and resolve all third-party application issues. Research trends in business applications and recommend emerging technologies. Participates in developing and implementing department standards, policies, and procedures. Conducts initial project assessment to assess business and technical feasibility of projects. Works to become familiar with the overall strategic direction of County departments. Participates in the department budget process, including providing projections for modifications, upgrades, and enhancement recommendations for business applications. Models the high level of customer service expected of all associates, including responding to voice mails and emails within organizationally defined timeframes, completing projects as committed, responding to others’ feedback appropriately, and making optimal use of limited resources by aiding other functional teams when appropriate.
Performs related duties as required.
Position can be remote after initial training period.
Typical Qualifications
Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science, or closely related field required with a minimum of 8 years of experience working with Information Technology or business applications; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
SKILLSET & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) a plus Excellent oral, written, and customer service skills. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and can pass an FBI / CJIS fingerprint and background checks
