Summary
Primarily responsible for providing support and assisting the IT Engineering Manager with configuring, installing and managing the organizations’ computer systems, including software, hardware and networks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area.
- 2 years experience as an IT Engineer or similar role (entry-level preferred)
- Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with configuring and installing various network devices and basic network logical knowledge about the L2, L3 and UTP cable installation.
- Familiarity with general OS systems (e.g., Windows 10, 11) and Office software.
- Knowledge of security protocols, IT systems, networking infrastructures and database systems.
- Must have a positive mindset and be interested in IT infrastructure composition.
- Must have basic industry knowledge.
Essential Functions
- Installing software and networking systems.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN).
- Troubleshooting network and software issues.
- Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Document system configurations, updates made to systems and any new procedures or policies created.
- Responding to general IT requests.
- Filing monthly reports for the IT Maintenance.
- Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
- Writing office IT device user manuals.
- IT Assets Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
