Position Description
As the IT Business Analyst for SAP HCM and Time Management, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Act as the intermediary between the Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) teams
- Use a deep understanding of the business processes and technology to help business partners identify improvement opportunities and complete various initiatives
- Utilize analytical skills to introduce and incorporate process and change management into business matters with the desired result of creating efficiencies and improving work practices
- Create and manage end-to-end process mapping, user stories, and test cases
- Convey complex and technical business issues to diverse audiences, both in presentations and routine communications
- Design, configure, and implement enterprise applications, ensuring that software solutions are designed and developed to perform as intended and are implemented according to user requirements
- Support enterprise scale application design, development, and implementation of systems, such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Workday, and related Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Develop design documents, functional specifications, test scripts, support data migration, assist in issue resolution, and risk mitigation for projects
- Configure the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) system, including Time, Organization Management, Personnel Administration, and ESS/MSS with a focus on Time and Quota configuration
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and next generation platforms and recommend solutions that drive innovation and business value
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in processes, procedures, and systems within the department
- Work closely with both United States and European HCM Business Analysts
- Ensure that proper change control and project management processes are adhered to
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- More than 4 years of hands-on experience in implementing and configuring SAP HCM Time Management and supporting Time and Quota troubleshooting processes and issues
- Expert knowledge of the SAP Time Management module
- Experience with schemas and cycles, quotas, Cross-Application Time Sheets (CATS), and positive and negative time recording in SAP HCM On-Premise (ECC and S4H4)
- Experience in writing rules for time management, wage types, shift planning, holiday calendar, and quotas for attendance and absences
- Experience with ABAP/debugging and SAP workflow
- Experience with payroll systems, such as UKG
- Experience in integrating internal systems with external systems, such as payroll, benefits, recruiting and other HRIS applications
- Manage multiple projects and collaborate with other team members to meet required timelines
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with internal customers, fellow team members, and management
- Advanced knowledge of Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $90000 – $130000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
