Job Title: IT Business Systems Data Analyst

Job Location: Richmond, Virginia – 100% Remote

Job Summary:

Collaborates with business and IT partners to facilitate and support the development of detailed scope statements and high level business requirements in development efforts.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Business and IT partners.
  • Identifies and initiates opportunities to support business activities.
  • Leads the high-level requirements development process.
  • Supports elicitation/development of high-level and detailed business requirements for medium- to large-sized efforts.
  • Partners with Account Managers collaborating on business opportunities and solutions.
  • Collaborates with Account manager to develop that strengthen Account Manager effectiveness.
  • Supports the management of integrated (business, functional, and technical) requirements and design to ensure that all requirements have been gathered and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in requirements gathering, documentation, and translation.
  • Supports development of customer strategy plans and technology solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Identifies and manages risks and develops contingency plans to resolve issues that impact business objectives.
  • Anticipates and identifies customer needs and matches products and services to facilitate the fulfillment of those needs across medium, complex technology initiatives.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing
  • Writing test scenarios
  • Support the analysis, profiling and mapping of the health care data requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Must be a subject matter expert in Health Insurance data – eligibility, claims, case management, utilization management, provider, and survey data.
  • Experience working in Teradata and Cloud environment.
  • Must be proficient using SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certifications strongly preferred.
  • Experience with mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems and the impacts of changes in the systems stream
  • Testing/product quality processes, tools and methods strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma or other process improvement training strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Confluence and JIRA

Pay Equity Statement:

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $91,040 to $136,560.

Locations: California; Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY
