IT Clinical Application Support Analyst

The Clinical Application Support Analyst is responsible for supporting multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related applications for Panoramic Health and its clients. The analyst will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and providing level 2 support for the EMR applications used by Panoramic Health and its clients. This role will support Panoramic Health’s national operations and reports to the IT Clinical Applications Support Manager. The Clinical Application Support Analyst will support physicians, physician extenders, nurses and ancillary staff in the utilization of multiple clinical information systems that impact their workflow.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides level 2 production support, which includes application configuration, maintenance, incident response and resolution
  1. Provides clinical application configuration support for implementation in new practices and locations and serves as a resource after implementation.
  1. Maintains applications in compliance with organizational technical and operational standards, policies, and procedures
  1. Partners with business and technology stakeholders as a subject matter expert on the Panoramic Health suite of clinical applications
  1. Supports interface configurations within clinical applications
  1. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

  1. May require some periodic day and overnight travel, non-business hour scheduled support or on-call rotation for end-user support.

Functional and Technical Competencies

(Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the role)

  • Use of analytical skills and experiences to investigate or escalate support issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in supporting and configuring AthenaHealth (required)
  • Experience operating and configuring eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Epic or other EMRs is desirable.
  • Supporting HIPAA controls for technical implementations (required)
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on system requirements and system configuration (required)
  • Strong understanding of clinical and non-clinical medical office EMR workflows (preferred)

Education/Training and Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or Informatics related field.
  • OR 3+ years of recent experience in a clinical informatics or health care IT support role

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare clinical application support role
  • 2 – 3 years of experience supporting practice integration and the implementation of clinical applications for new and existing clinics

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

  • Current Expert level knowledge of Athena and eClinicalworks build and configuration may be a candidate differentiator

This role has a salary range of $77,000-$85,000 and regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO).
