The Data Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with different IT roles to gather and document data product requirements, perform integrated testing for data quality assurance, support our organization’s Data Governance initiatives and develop reports to support decision making processes. The Data Analyst uses industry standards and best practices to support key strategic organizational priorities.
This position is full-time remote. Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina and available to travel for onsite meetings to the Home office (Morrisville, NC), as required.
Responsibilities & Duties
Systems Analysis and Design
- Elicit, analyze and document business and technical requirements for the design of data products and solutions
- Create, analyze and validate detailed functional and technical specifications and flowcharts
- Deliver required systems design documents, including data mapping/migration rules and business rules
- Participate and provide data analysis where appropriate
Data Governance
- Assist with the coordination of cross functional teams to support Data Governance initiatives
- Support our organization’s Data Catalog and Data Lineage solutions
- Assist with the development of Data Governance policies, standards, processes and ensure that they are uniformly understood and properly interpreted and administered
- Provide support, where needed, in the execution of Data Governance activities
- Guarantee that metadata is captured and documented correctly
- Assist with our Data Literacy efforts and initiatives
- Publish regular communications on data initiatives and data governance
- Assist with developing methods for monitoring and reporting data incidents
- Manage the creation of Data Quality and Data Governance metrics and dashboards
- Promote business understanding of IT processes and status while maintaining open, transparent communication with the business units
Quality Assurance
- Design, develop and execute and document integrated testing plans
- Collaborate with the Data Architecture and Data Engineering teams to design data standards
- Assist developing methods for monitoring and reporting data incidents
Maintain Documentation
- Develop technical and business process documentation for data products and solutions
Minimum Education & Experience
Associates degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or related field and three (3) years of experience in a Data or Business Analyst position with direct involvement in Data Governance programs. Knowledge of Data Governance and experience working with healthcare data and using TFS and Git required.

Salary Range
$71,811.78 to $123,622.11/Annually
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
