Why does the job exist?

This position, within the Financial Control Division will be responsible for providing help desk support to all state agencies in regards to SHARE financial issues to include, but not limited to, logging help desk requests, documenting and resolving issues timely and accurately, conducting extensive research relating to customer(s) issues, producing financial reports for all state agencies, help train agencies when initiating and/or approving financial transaction(s) in SHARE, and the development of documenting the Help Desk Unit’s processes including maintaining updated information for the Help Desk Frequently Asked Questions. The incumbent will also responsible for helping DFA IT personnel with website and computer updates.

How does it get done?

The help desk is required to assist State of New Mexico SHARE Human Capital Management (HCM) users SHARE Financial Users. This position must have knowledge in SHARE Financials’ and SHARE HCM, navigation in both environments and be able to have a working understanding of Government Accounting. Position is responsible for technical support, application and system and
developing queries and processes necessary for the business to function effortlessly.

Who are the customers?

This position will provide assistance to 60+ DFA Staff, along with 120+ state agencies (approximately 18,000+ Human Capital Management (HCM) and 3,000+ Financial Users).

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Advanced computer technical experience in the SHARE Financial System
* Experience in a Help Desk Call Center
* Experience in a Help Desk Ticket/Tracking Software
* Advanced knowledge of Windows, Internet browsers and Microsoft Office
* Experience working under pressure in a high volume call center environment
* Customer service skills

Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) months of experience in providing technical support to end-users for computer hardware, software, and/or network related problems. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some bending, standing, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
