Why does the job exist?
The IT End User Support I will:
- Provide basic to intermediate technical assistance for employees of the Human Services Department to include imaging and deploying workstations.
- Provide first tier help desk and will answer support calls.
How does it get done?
The IT End User Support I is responsible for:
- Customer service, troubleshoot desktop software, hardware, and network issues.
Who are the customers?
- Employees and contractors of the Human Services Department.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has:
- Experience in: Documenting, tracking and monitoring problems to facilitate a timely resolution;
- Experience in customer service;
- Experience providing installation, upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting for computing and communication devices and peripherals;
- Experience with e-waste procedures and applying diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) months of experience in providing technical support to end-users for computer hardware, software, and/or network related problems. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some bending, standing, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
