Morgan Stanley’s HR Data team is looking for a seasoned Director to join the Human Resources Data Distribution function. The team is accountable for the project delivery of a strategic, multi-year initiative to transform our HR data platforms, in which this individual will play a key role of integrating major data assets into the new eco-system.
This individual will focus on producing key deliverables in the analysis, design, and implementation phases of projects. They will also work closely with other project/change management teams across the domain to provide visibility into progress and support the business through transition of changes. The individual should be able to work independently, develop an understanding of the business processes and rules, as well as understanding the technologies and solutions that support them. We offer:

You will:
- Join a team of data professionals with a combined skill-set to successfully deliver on a broad range of data related projects and activities to decommission existing HR Data Warehouse
- Engage with business stakeholders, SMEs and product owners through interviews, working group sessions and process workshops to gather and develop use cases and process workflows
- Partner with global teams (Compensation, Recruiting, Analytics, HR Operations) to drive requirement gathering, business process review, solution design, testing, training, and documentation
- Partner with system owners to develop implementation solutions for changes to existing data structures or business processes and establish meaningful traceability between related requirements
- Provide recommendations on potential opportunities for further enhancements and present recommendations to business stakeholders and project management
- Coordinate change requests to the business requirements, working with project management and solution delivery team to effectively identify impact and prioritize enhancements
- Act as a conduit between the business teams and the IT team to communicate business transformation for data structures as it relates to business requirement specifications
- Identify and document recommend appropriate strategic solutions (applications and workflows), ensuring development is within scope and addresses the business needs
- Conduct fit-gap analysis for existing data consumers and vendor reporting products against requirements to drive change management processes
- Plan, conduct and provide project management support on assigned teams as well as major projects
- Review current business processes and make recommendations for optimization.
- Maintain and communicate project plan progress, issues, and risks. Report status and escalate issues to leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7+ years of project-based, organization change, data transformation or process management methods experience
- 5 to 7+ years of experience in aspects of business analysis function including business process mapping, requirements gathering and testing
- Ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders while bringing together and working with a team of people with varied backgrounds – business analysts, technical experts, process owners
- Experience working in a large, global corporate environment and matrix organization
- Effective communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical groups at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Demonstrate judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues
- Aptitude for learning new systems and technologies
- General knowledge of end-to-end project management lifecycle and/or Agile methodologies
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
