Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking a IT Operations Analyst to provide support to a Department of Defense research laboratory.
Location: Monterey, CA
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Identify shared IT (compute and disk space) and finance services that require monitoring
- Using JIRA and Excel, compile and maintain metrics around key IT and finance Business Operations services. Provide regular reports to ensure services meet service level agreements.
- Using CloudTracker, monitor costs related to the above services and recommend actions based on findings.
- Work with system customers/users to ensure they have adequate IT resources to perform their work.
- Lead the new user onboarding process.
- Prepare regular monitoring reports with leadership visibility.
- Lead meetings with a variety of stakeholders, including leadership and customers/users.
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents and other documentation, as needed, to reflect current processes.
- Review, assign, and monitor internal help desk tickets.
Qualifications
- MS 2-5 years, BS 5-8 years, or HS 8-10 years with a Business or Project Management degree.
- Strong computer skills:
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office 365 products to include PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word
- Proficient with JIRA
- Proven relationship management and customer service experience; ability to liaise with stakeholders and working groups from various areas of expertise.
- S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable about information technology.
- Knowledge of CloudWatch and CloudTracker or other resource tracking systems
- Previous military or DoD experience.
- Project Management experience, training, or certifications.
- ITIL experience or certifications.
- Active Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
