Summary

This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s (PBGC), Office of Information Technology (OIT), IT Infrastructure Operations Department (ITIOD), IT Infrastructure Project Management Division (ITIPMD).

Duties

The candidate selected for this position will:

Serve as an IT project manager responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the development, modernization or enhancement of complex business or general support systems.

Formulate and direct the overall plan for the design, development, and implementation of new business or general-support systems, or enhancements to operational system.

Be responsible for broad and effective coordination of assigned projects of substantial complexity among various parties to ensure the projects proceed smoothly and are integrated into other new efforts.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the announcement closing date.

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector planning and executing the development of information technology (IT) solutions. Examples include: researching emerging technologies, methodologies and processes to optimize service delivery; streamlining business processes; managing IT projects with specified timelines and budgets; working with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables for information technology projects; and/or preparing and presenting briefings to customers and managers on program issues.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.
