IT Quality Analyst

Position Description

As an IT Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities during specific timeframes:

  • First 30 days
    • Learn Applied Medical’s business processes
    • Complete required trainings per Applied Medical’s requirements
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Hewlett-Packard Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM) and Quality Center
    • Become familiar with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Within 60 days
    • Execute and route manual test cases to ensure software solutions are designed and developed to perform as intended, per user requirements
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
    • Provide testing and validation assistance and support for customers
    • Resolve discrepancies found while executing test scripts
  • After 90 days to 1 year
    • Partner with internal and external team members to maintain timelines and escalate, as needed
    • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of HP ALM/Quality Center
    • Create and maintain software validation documents such as software validation summary reports, software validation plans, software risk assessments and traceability matrices
  • Ongoing
    • Collaborate with the Business Analysts to create or update test cases
    • Create, review, and route test reports and audit test runs
    • Verify that all software validation deliverables have been completed for projects and change requests
    • Assist in the training of new Quality Analysts and other team members, as needed
    • Research and evaluate new information systems and technologies and recommend solutions that drive innovation

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Handle multiple tasks while working interdependently within a cross-functional team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and have effective follow-up skills to complete tasks precisely and accurately
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development life cycle

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $70000 – $115000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
