Job Summary
Under limited direction, is responsible for ensuring that the most complex software applications / systems are designed, coded, built, tested, and completed accurately and on time. Prepares budgets and monitors project expenses. Works closely with a wide variety of customers to design, install and maintain efficient software systems. Development and implementation of multi-phase multi-year programs for business departments. Management of vendor escalations, contracts, and strategic relationships, as well as the alignment of products to business needs. Organizes and provides highly effective presentations on a variety of project related issues. Confers with user representatives to determine needs and identify areas of potential improvement. Monitors effective use of technology and arranges for training user personnel in the operation of new or modified systems and technology. Provides expert line of business application / technology advice for a variety of computer system needs as the project supervisor of a large, specific user team of applications and system professionals. Oversees and manages delivery of project management portfolio. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

At time of application, applicants must:
1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
2. Have had six (6) years of full-time work experience in information technology, which must include three (3) years of supervisory work experience in any of the following:
a. Systems analysis and design
b. Application Installation and Configuration or Programming
c. Project management in an information technology system development and implementation position.
