IT Support Technician I (In-Training)

ABOUT CASCADE:

Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.

We are looking for an IT Support Technician I (In-Training) to join our IT team. This position serves as the initial point of contact for the agency’s IT customer support. Utilizing basic technical knowledge this position assists agency technology users in resolving basic Tier 1 issues with hardware, software, network connectivity, and related equipment. Escalates more complex support issues to a higher level.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

This position will normally require that the employee work a standard, Monday through Friday forty (40) hour week. Flexible work hours may be required to perform work outside of a normal schedule. This position is classified as being “non-exempt” according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

PAY SCALE:

$18.50 – $19.00 DOE

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required for this position as Cascade has multiple locations. Travel may also be required for training purposes.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergo and pass criminal background check upon initial employment and any subsequent check required by the agency.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Meet all requirements of the agency Drug Free Workplace Policy.
  • Must have current driver’s license and be legally allowed to drive in the state of Washington.
  • Maintain current home phone and address on file with the Human Resources office.
  • Ability to solve problems in stressful situations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to customers in plain language
  • Must be able to do simple arithmetic.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Higher education that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
  • Industry certifications that are directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable for the experience requirement.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware, software, and related equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Ability to document requests for support as well as create technical manuals.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users.
  • Customer-oriented attitude.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Receives, records, routes, monitors, and closes support tickets.
  • Determines scope of work and either resolves issue or forwards tickets to higher level IT staff for resolution.
  • Responds to and diagnoses issues through discussion with customer
  • Assists with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of agency IT hardware, software, and related equipment.
  • Maintains and improves knowledge and skills in support of agency hardware, software, and related equipment.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
