Typical Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized training in telecommunications, computer science and/or related field required; associate?s degree and/or related certifications preferred. ??Must have working knowledge of standard telecommunications systems and programs such as AVAYA Site Administration, Gateways, PBX, Vera Smart Call Accounting Software, facsimile hardware/software, MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point; and working knowledge of principles and methods of telecommunications, including configuration and operation, networking hardware, peripherals/accessories, and audio/visual equipment. Must be able to learn new hardware/software configurations. ??Must maintain physical condition appropriate to sitting, standing, kneeling, and/or crouching for extended periods; must be able to frequently lift heavy and/or bulky equipment. ?Must be able to interact professionally with vendors and the general public, have strong conceptual quantitative and qualitative skills, well developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain positive interactions with staff at all levels.
