Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and develop systems, applications, products, services and data to optimize / automate SAP’s business processes and improve work efficiency.

Expectations and Tasks:

Engage with business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver solutions to business requirements. Perform complex data and system development along with technology integration through learned technology coding languages. Facilitate the system, service, and product lifecycle, and ensure stable, secure, performant and high available operations for and between system and cloud services. Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Manage cloud technologies, the associated architectural styles (e.g. microservices, containerization, serverless architectures) and web development stacks. Apply agile software delivery process and the industry-standard toolset for DevOps implementation. Apply modern data processing technologies and methods, such as non-SQL databases or data lakes. Apply modern SaaS platform, integration, and extensibility concepts. Oversee Infrastructure Operations portfolio and use service lifecycle methodology to ensure and optimize service operation. Monitor OLA and SLA compliance for the Service in scope. Perform service costing, capacity planning, and support ‘early warning’ process in regards to financial risk and opportunities. Ensures adherence of security policies and standards for customer landscape.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a three or four year bachelor’s degree. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 4 years in the following:

  • SAP Basis and NetWeaver Administration including technical planning, architecture, system installations, upgrades, patches, integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, user support, and issue resolution;
  • Provide customer support and advise on SAP systems’ technical requirements, resolution of potential issues, and constraints;
  • Application vulnerability analysis including parameter settings, user security vulnerability, OSS notes, security patches and database updates;
  • Multiple database administration, support, and integration including SAP PI/PO, ECC, Solman, BW, CRM, and EP;
  • SAP system installation, configuration, and integration in HEC Cloud including SAP S4HANA, BW/4HANA, BOBJ, BODS, and Solman; and
  • Deescalate customer’s critical technical issues.

Travel: N/A. Telecommuting permitted. Position can be based in any US location.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $132,330 – $188,672. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $132,330- $214,400. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
