Janitorial Worker
3/4-time/30hrs per week/Non-Exempt/$19.95 per hour (DOE)
Pay differentials offered – must qualifying through testing or verification for the following special competencies.
*Language Translation – Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)
*Bimodal Bilingualism – ASL Sign Language – Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)
Keeps premises of office buildings in clean and orderly condition. Cleans office buildings 1 to 2 times per weekly schedule. Vacuum hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and mop floors. Empties wastebaskets & recycle bins twice per week in office buildings. Takes trash out of the building to waste containers. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as requested. Dusts furniture and equipment. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Sanitize high use areas in offices. Cleans and replenishes bathroom supplies. Washes dishes and kitchen supplies if left in the sink area. Must be able to travel between facilities in Ukiah area.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have 2 years driving experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver’s License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout (no more than 3 points on record), clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI, CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.
