Jr. Marketing Generalist (Seasonal)

Hourly Range: $17.27- $19.40/hr

Job Summary

The Jr. Digital Marketing Generalist is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing and Field Marketing Coordinator in implementing the Milwaukee County Parks overall communications and marketing plan, focusing specifically on digital as well as physical signage communications within the Horticulture and other areas as the manager sees fit in order to build awareness and knowledge of racial equity within the Milwaukee County Parks communities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Digital Marketing and Field Marketing Coordinator to refine the social media strategy and best practices specifically for the Horticulture and other areas as required for the MKE Parks
  • Provide regular content as well as physical content for a variety of social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Help with signage and print materials.
  • Gather, take, and edit content inclusive of photos and videos
  • Prepare weekly updates and reports to track growth and success rates of campaigns
  • Develop signage, social media, and email template for internal use
  • Execute and manage cross platform promotions

Education, Licenses/Certifications and Experience Required

  • Valid Driver’s License required and must be maintained during incumbency
  • Associate degree or higher in Digital Marketing, Social Media, Graphic Design or similar field required
  • Bachelor degree in Digital Marketing, Social Media, Graphic Design or similar field preferred
  • At least six (6) months or more work experience in Marketing, Graphic Design, or closely related field required.
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications required (e.g. Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SendGrid, Mailchimp, Twitter, and other social media platforms required
  • Agency experience preferred.
