Job Summary

Working in collaboration with Chief Experience and Philanthropy Officer and the AVP of Membership Experience. The Director of Corporate and Group Partnerships is responsible for driving corporate membership sales across the YMCA of Greater Seattle. This position will lead the execution of the corporate membership plan. This includes: partnering with Y leaders across the organization especially Financial Development, building relationships with current and prospective corporate partners, defining the value proposition for prospective corporate partners of varying sizes, building the sales strategy including testing and optimization; building the tactic plan; and managing all third-party contracts. The Director will be an excellent communicator and capable of both developing strategy and driving execution. The Director must have proven ability to motivate, communicate, and influence at all levels and in a multitude of environments.

Hiring Range: $70,729 – 106,094/year

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  1. Manages corporate membership goals and drives the strategic direction for association-wide execution. Drives the development and execution of the corporate membership plan and builds associated marketing campaigns required to meet goals.
  2. Works collaborative across the organization to successfully execute corporate membership plan.
  3. Sources and builds strategic relationships with potential third party and/or corporate membership partners. Ensures that pipeline of potential partners is full.
  4. Drives the adoption and execution of a membership partnership framework and strategy filter to use when executing partnership agreements.
  5. Partners with Finance, Financial Development and Experience leadership teamsto ensure that partnerships are viable and mutually beneficial.
  6. Partners with branches to identify potential corporate or third party partners and build plan to successfully build partnerships with identified partners.
  7. Communicates corporate membership plan across the association and partners with key marketing and communications teams to ensure required assets are built and delivered on time.
  8. Partners with financial development to expand corporate partnerships from employee memberships to employee volunteerism and philanthropic sponsorships.
  9. Articulates and enhances member value proposition and ensure it is optimized in appropriate public facing material to maximize the acquisition of new corporate members.
  10. Distribute regular reporting via scorecard, dashboards, and other key performance indicators.
  11. Develops and owns rhythm of communication to effectively drive key strategies and program delivery with staff partners.
  12. Ensures best practices and operational/transactional procedures/SOPs in place and assists in driving accountability by all staff. Ensures branch readiness for all corporate membership promotions and third party relationships. Provides guidance and coaching as needed.
  13. Analyzes competitive landscape and market data to recommend, develop and implement adjustments required to meet established organizational goals and objectives.
  14. Works collaboratively with AVP, Membership Experience to establish and monitor corporate membership results, surveys and other reports that measure performance. Proactively develop plans to improve results and achievement of organizational membership goals. Responsible for driving and monitoring action steps associated with improvements in acquisition results.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment. This position is eligible for a

hybrid work environment with at least two days per week in the Downtown AO office is expected.

This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional

evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
  1. Minimum seven years’ progressively responsible management experience in marketing, sales or business development with a demonstrated track record of success
  1. Expertise in driving acquisition within a service oriented or subscription business
  1. Experience driving partnerships and/or third party relationships
  1. Recognized as being customer obsessed and has demonstrated experience building insight driven plans/programs that result in improved member/customer acquisition
  1. Experienced building value propositions, offer strategies and promotional campaigns with history of success.
  1. History of measurable results for managing sales or acquisition processes, people and tools to support strategic business priorities
  1. Has a desire to build world class customer experiences
  1. Experience working effectively within a matrix, mission oriented, and diverse business environment
  1. Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
