Junior MDM Developer, Associate Director

CDO is currently seeking a Junior Master Data Management (MDM) Developer based out of our NY or Chicago office.

The Fitch Group Chief Data Office (CDO) is seeking a junior MDM (Master Data Management) Developer to be part of a Chief Data Office team that is supporting all business and support functions across Fitch for a wide range of MDM Platform needs. This is a formative opportunity to influence and innovate as part of the new CDO function.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Deliver MDM software in line with clear requirements & use cases.
  • Participate in agile team working with product/tech owner, and team members to understand and code data requirements specific to Master Data Management
  • Use the appropriate tools and frameworks available to develop the data acquisition and ingestion process in accordance with the approved design.
  • Leverage workflow tools to maintain accurate status of assigned tasks (JIRA, etc.).
  • Assist to build out data model with other team members.
  • Provide Support for data jobs once deployed in production to ensure SLAs are met for data consumers.

What You Need to Have:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years Hands on experience in MDM implementations using informatica MDM SaaS or other related MDM tools (e.g. Tibco) as well as an overall strong software engineering background (Java, Python) on AWS or equivalent Cloud Data Platform.
  • Strong track record of experience in implementing data workflow and ETL/ELT for enterprise data platform.
  • Experience with designing/building a MDM Ux/Ui, data models & distribution layer (API, BEM with tools such as Kafka) and working hand in hand with MDM data consumers.
  • Experience debugging potential issues within the implementation of the MDM tools and methods to bringing them to resolution.
  • Hands on experience in working with modern and legacy databases, both structured and unstructured.

  • Subject Matter Expertise in Master & Reference Data (Entities, Securities, Country Codes, etc)
  • Background in Financial Services

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $160,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
