Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, Westchester Counties and New York City. Sun River Health is currently seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join Solutions 4 Community Health, (S4CH) a wholly owned entity of Sun River Health. Solutions 4 Community Health (S4CH) provides management solutions for health care safety net providers to improve their care delivery and outcomes, sustainability and efficiency.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our dynamic team as a Junior Network Engineer. In this roll, you will play a key part in the analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance and repairing of our network infrastructure and application components. The JR Network Engineer will perform a wide variety of tasks and problem-solving and will work with cutting-edge technology, to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. This position is primarily remote but requires travel to all of our geographic SRH locations at little to no notice.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the corporate infrastructure and its protocols (DNS, IP routing, VPN, etc).
• Configure, maintain and setup Cisco routers, switches.
• Install, setup, configure, integrate, maintain and service complex switching environments.
• Integrate and support wireless networking for open or secured access.
• Maintain an understanding of and assists in documentation of LAN and WAN environments.
• Accurately log and track change management events and configuration revisions.
• Maintain an understanding of IP addressing schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.
• Evaluate, configure, and install server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software, telephones and security systems.
• Manage assigned projects independently and largely unsupervised.
• Assists in support of our datacenter(s) and remote locations, including tier 3 end-user support. Wireless environments and LAN/WAN Switching
• Provides on-call and off-site support on an as-needed basis.
• Other duties assigned by management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred
Vocational / Technical School / Diploma Program: Computer technology with three years of experience required
Valid Driver’s License required
Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNA) preferred
Special Skills & Knowledge:
• • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel within the SRH service site area with little to no notice.
• Knowledge of industry standard monitoring software
• Knowledge of Cisco (or comparable) networking equipment
• Knowledge of Meraki (or comparable) networking equipment
• Knowledge of Ethernet and Wireless environments
• Knowledge of Windows Servers
• Competence in operating and troubleshooting computers and computer
• peripherals for Tier 3 Support
• Is able to analyze, design, implement, test and maintain new projects in the
• information systems department
• Ability to collaborate with other members of Sun River HealthCare in order
to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24.73 – $27.47 per hour
