We are seeking a Junior Project Interior Designer to join our design team.

The Junior Project Interior Designer will support the design process through material and furniture sourcing and specification, assisting custom furniture design, and sourcing window treatments. Using superior organization skills, this role will coordinate with fabricators, vendors, various trades and sub-contractors to ensure the project stays on track. This role is project based and is estimated to go through July/August of 2024 and will report to our West LA office 5 days week.

Job Description

What our Junior Project Interior Designer will do:

  • Support Project Managers in undertaking construction and interior design projects from concept presentation to installation
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors and suppliers to source furniture, fixtures and materials that align with the project and budget
  • Prepare furniture floor plans and elevations
  • Manage all phases of custom furniture and soft good production under the supervision of Project Manager, including creating work orders, workroom visits, and quality control
  • Prepare project schedules and timelines for interior finishes furnishing and custom furniture and lighting
  • Assist in updating interior design and construction project schedules ensuring the accuracy, timely installation, and quality of the overall design process

Qualifications

Skills & experience necessary for our Junior Project Interior Designer will include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 – 3 years of full-time experience working on residential projects in an Interior Design firm
  • Possess high level of organization, attention to detail and discretion
  • Proven capability to execute tasks with a sense of urgency, accuracy and partnership
  • Recognized efforts to complete tasks independently, timely, and efficiently
  • Accurate and consistent attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD. (Sketch-Up or 3D/rendering skills a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
  • A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related creative field

Starting pay range: $29.00 – $33.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
