Description of Duties:
The Junior Work Order Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Use the process, procedures, work instructions, policies, required documentation and tools as designed.
- Help write the Work Order Management process, procedures, work instructions, policies and required documentation.
- Monitor Work Orders using the BMC Remedy tool.
- Review new Work Orders to ensure process compliance.
- Coordinate closure of old Work Orders.
- Be aware of information related to the Change Management process (e.g. Change/Release Management activities that feed into the Work Order Management process).
- Identify possible bottlenecks and issues regarding scheduled work orders and communicate them.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to help write process, procedures, tools, work instructions, policies, and required documentation.
- Be able to understand when technical inputs are needed.
This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL
This position is expected to pay $68,000 – $78,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of general experience.
- Must have 2 years of directly related experience (Information Technology, Change Management, Configuration Management, Customer Service)
- Must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have experience with ITIL Process
- Have an ITIL Intermediate Certification for Service Transition and/or Release Control & Validation
- Have an ITIL Foundations v3 or v4 Certification
- Have experience with BMC Remedy or another ticketing system
- Have experience in any of the following areas a plus: IT operations, quality assurance, process engineering, service transition, service delivery, change management, release management, customer service/communications
