Job Description
Responsible for leading, directing and helping children while at Camp La Costa.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for the children involved in Camp La Costa.
- Responsible for carrying out the proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Responsible for helping the children carry out the day’s activities and crafts. Before the day begins, you will need to understand your role in the day’s activities.
- Energetically involved in the camp’s activities.
- Maintain a neat, clean professional appearance.
- Assist with check-ins at the pool gate.
- Occasionally monitor lines.s at the slide.
Qualifications
- Previous child care experience is preferred.
- Must obtain CPR certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Must obtain a San Diego County Food Handler’s card upon employment.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
