POSITION: Kindergarten Readiness Program Teacher
Kindergarten Readiness Program teacher positions are available to those with PDE Kindergarten certiifiication to work with incoming Kindergarten students in the Summer Support Program, which will be in-person.
What is Kindergarten Readiness Program?
The North Penn School District is offering a summer transition program to incoming kindergarten students an opportunity to practice school readiness skills and begin to learn school routines. Students will be selected through the Kindergarten Activity Portfolio (KAP) administration process using specific criteria for eligibility. Teachers will need to plan and implement lessons to explicitly teach learning readiness skills and behaviors, beginning reading and math skills, and experiences to set students up for a successful start to Kindergarten!
Program Length: 2 weeks; Monday, August 7, 2023 through to Thursday, August 17, 2023 (Monday-Thursday)
NOTE: Program Set-Up Day is Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Work Hours: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Location: Hatfiled Elemetnary School, Oak Park Elementary School, or Knapp Elementary School
Pay Rate: Curriculum rate = $34.82/hr.
