JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a full time non-exempt position. To perform necessary tasks to profitably complete projects for Large Loss. These tasks include anything construction related necessary for the completion of the projects ranging in complexity from labor to light trade work and complex finish carpentry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Insure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication
  • Inform the Project Manager of the progress of the project daily, including any customer concerns, problems, delays, etc.
  • Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower and materials on each project
  • Monitor and report on the activities of the company’s independent subcontractors
  • Insure the image of the company is supported by the appearance and activities of the subcontractors and job sites
  • Maintain an on-hand supply of and properly complete company time sheets
  • Property location oversight
  • Perform carpentry work as needed
  • Manage workflow of field carpenters and laborers
  • Excellent communication with property owners
  • Interacting and scheduling of subcontractors
  • Interacting with county officials
  • Develop and implement quality control processes for Large Loss residential and commercial projects
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and industry regulations
  • Review architectural plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Review estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness on site
  • Collaborate with PMs to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and uploaded to DASH
  • Oversee contract compliance and draw schedule’s
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues that arise during construction projects
  • Other tasks as necessary

Skills Imperative for this Position:

  • Good oral and verbal communication
  • Experience managing/supervising a team of subcontractors
  • Self-starter, great organizational and planning

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of building codes (IRC 2021)
  • Knowledge of fire and water restoration
  • Knowledge and experience in local communities of the region
  • Formal education in building sciences or similar field

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has limited supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree (A.A or A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to visit project sites that have incurred catastrophic events from fire, water, and storm damage and could require accessing roofs, which they need to be able to carry a 28′ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated property. The employee must be able to carry a minimum of 50 pounds in weight for the purpose of getting material to a specific place on the project site.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Appropriate safety equipment is furnished.
