Job Description

SUMMARY

Pick up and drop off clean and dirty linen to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Loads, unloads and deliver trucks to destination
  • Positions linen carts inside laundry truck while securing with blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit
  • Signs out keys and radio
  • Pick up all dirty laundry from all buildings throughout the day
  • Delivers linen buckets to buildings according to given schedules
  • Fill up gas tank before end of shift and clean the truck
  • Report any issues to the mechanics
  • Assist inside the laundry by sorting, washing or folding the resort linen as needed
  • Wear safety vest while operating vehicle
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Full Class E driver’s license is required for this position.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must have one-year experience in driving the class of vehicle operated and must meet all state and local licensing requirements. Must maintain satisfactory driving records and must take a mandatory defensive driving safety class. (Refer to Policy #436, Small Vehicle Fleet Policy).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, for up to eight (8) hour. Must be capable of hearing within what is considered to be a normal range. In addition, the employee is occasionally required to smell.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include capable of distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and perception, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
