Work you’ll do

As a Lead Business Analyst you will assist with the development and design of web-based applications. Ideal candidates will have a solution-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate as a team with technical and product leaders while also contributing independently. Candidates must be passionate about technology, demonstrate strong reasoning and research facilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development, management, and delivery of our product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure our products meet market demands and deliver exceptional value to our clients. Your primary focus will be on understanding customer needs, defining product requirements, and guiding the product lifecycle through development and growth.

  • Product Planning and Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and define product features and requirements.
    • Gather and analyze client requirements, analyze business processes, and assist stakeholder interviews through storyboarding, workshops, or persona journey maps.
    • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall goals.
    • Assist in product backlog management by developing epics, features, and user stories and engaging with development stakeholders to drive progress.
    • Conduct regular product reviews and manage the product backlog.
  • Product Improvement and Development:
    • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, and improvements.
    • Work closely with engineering and design teams to prioritize and implement product updates and bug fixes.
  • Product Marketing support:
    • Preparing and presenting written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, proposals, and systems training, and assisting sales efforts through engagement with clients and prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with prospect clients to gather insights, understand their needs, and validate product concepts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, solicit feedback, and implement user stories and requirements to fulfill business requirements
    • Serve as a product expert and provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.

The desired candidate is passionate about technology and comfortable solving and reframing business problems using a design and consulting mindset. The candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong listening, verbal/written communication skills, and able to collaborate well with others.

The Team

We are a growing global team developing financial technology products. This role sits within our growing product team. You will be working directly with team members in various teams at all levels that are assigned to one or more technology assets, with the focus on enhancement or customization to meet the needs of our clients. Technical Knowledge & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience, preferably as business analyst, product manager/product owner, or in consulting roles
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Experience in evaluating business processes, problem domains, and identifying improvement areas to inform requirements
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to clients and other stakeholders
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Knowledge of modern IT architecture and deployment (e.g., REST, databases, APIs, containers, workflows)
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • While primarily remote, the position may require travel up to 10% as determined by project specific needs.
  • Limited Sponsorship may be available

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years in technology product teams or technology strategy/consulting roles.
  • Experience with business analysis and product management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in the financial technology industry, specifically in B2B solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex products.
  • Experience with SQL and basic programming concepts.
  • Experience collaborating with remote and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and usability testing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,750 to $157,494.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
