Lead Customer Service Representative (Non-Supervisory) Business Tax Bureau- Excise Tax Section Department of Revenue

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
Are you up for a challenge and do you like a diverse workload? Then this position is great for you. The person in this position will process financial institutions tax returns, insurance tax billings and payments, and three (3) annual distributions. In addition, the individual will be educated in processing the other monthly and annual distributions that are completed within the Excise Tax Section. These distributions help to fund the cities, counties and school districts in Missouri. As a technical lead customer service representative, you will also be educated in various other duties of the section and will aid in the education of other employees. Candidates of interest will possess a background in customer service and a proven attention to detail.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

- Process Financial Institutions Tax and Insurance deposits and perform monthly reconciliations of collections.
- Process Financial Institutions Tax returns including the issuance of applicable billings, credits and refunds.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Financial Institutions Tax and Insurance.
- Process Financial Institutions Tax audit confirmations.
- Answer telephone calls and e-mail inquiries.
- Prepare three (3) annual tax distributions.
- Participate in cross education of other tax distributions in the Excise Tax section.
- Any additional duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency (GED)
- Experience in clerical or office related work.
