Role description:
As the Lead Field Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all field activities related to our construction projects. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of projects, adherence to safety standards, quality control, and effective coordination of field teams and subcontractors.
Role accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure that all construction activities comply with industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Review work orders, change orders, and project documentation to maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary safety measures to promote a safe work environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in construction operations.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience at least 10 years in construction project management, with a focus on field engineering and leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, project management tools and software (Primavera, e-Builder, etc.).

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $104,000 – $157,000.
