WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Reporting to a Vice President on the Banking and Investment Services in the Risk and Controls team, the position will be responsible for leveraging their program management expertise to support the creation and build out of a structure to maintain evergreen operational documentation related to critical processes. Banking and Investment Services Division
Banking and Investment Services plays an integral role in leading the strategic vision and execution of all banking operations. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Maintain ongoing communication with process owners to ensure timely communication of critical process issues and resolution
- Define and establish process governance structures to support successful delivery and manage program risk
- Deal directly with line-of-business managers represented by the Office of the President’s divisions and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into internal strategies and tactics and create ongoing updates to Operational documents related to critical processes Works with the various B&IS divisions and other related second lines to establishment and management of an internal process documentation inventory and calendar.
- Build and Define process governance structures to support successful delivery and manage program risk.
- Create process governance documentation templates and related approval forms to be used by internal BU for consistency and provide counsel to the BU for development of procedures and related documents with minimal content requirements to ensure risks and controls are documented for all processes.
- Work with the Office of the President’s division risk managers, compliance officers, testing teams and/or SMEs to ensure appropriate changes are timely documented in process documentation.
- Fosters collaborative relationships and rapport with BU leaders to the benefit of the Banking & Investment Services divisions, related control partners and CNB as a whole.
- In collaboration with the Office of the President’s various lines of business leaders/managers, leads multiple projects that strengthen and sustain compliance with the OCC, Federal Reserve, SEC and other regulatory bodies to ensure regulatory requirements are captured within procedures.
- Serve as a strategic partner to with Banking and Investment Services operations leads, strategy & transformation, and risk & controls teams with regard to organizational change, particularly from the perspective of Operartional documents related to critical processes .
- Prioritize, organize and execute process Governance responsibilities and interact with process owners.
- Oversee the management and periodic review and refresh of the process documents, procedures, including monitoring and tracking of adherence
- Control
- Participate in various Risk committees within the Banking & Investment Servicesdivisions as deemed appropriate to ensure the divisions are represented and risks are appropriately escalated and managed.
- Drive the adoption of set policies and procedures across Banking and Investment Services and levate issues to the Division Risk and Control team attention and when appropriate for further reporting to senior management as necessary.
- Establish credibility and organizational trust to cultivate and inspire a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement with a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
- In addition to primary responsibility, assist Support SVP with special projects and job-related issues as needed
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in documentation or preparation of technical materials, executive presentations, project management
- Minimum 5 y ears of experience in banking environment or risk management consulting or financial services industry in risk related roles
- Minimum 5 years of Advanced level experience in Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of governance structures and methodologies, risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type.
- Knowledge and understanding of OCC Heightened Standards requirements, regulatory and risk management in the financial services industry, including but not limited to Operational Risk (IT/Cybers, Operational Resiliency, Fraud, Third Party), Compliance Risk, BSA/AML/OFAC Risk, Credit Risk and Enterprise Risk preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with senior management and stakeholders, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the three lines of defense.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, SharePoint.
- Project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end risk management solutions and controls aligned with group’s processes
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and facilitate change through collaborative effort. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation, discipline, task focus, the ability to structure and present work and a proven record of delivering high quality results within strict deadlines.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $101,231 – $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
