Lead Product Manager – ArcGIS Online

Overview

As a Product Manager, we invite you to join Esri in shaping the future of products and technologies that connect customers with a world-class, SaaS, GIS. This position leads a dedicated and talented product team in building ArcGIS Online – the foundation of the ArcGIS system. You will change, reinvent, and expand the way our customers think about geographic data and empower them to use GIS across their organizations and to the world.

As someone with expertise in product management and software development, you have experience and demonstrated success in providing strategic direction, recognizing market opportunities, and sparking innovation. You emphasize customer interaction, are the product’s expert, build team relationships, and influence the product’s development priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the product management of ArcGIS Online by setting the vision, product definition, strategy, tactics, and priorities
  • Support, manage, and develop a team of product managers
  • Establish, refine, and mature business models, pricing, and licensing by working closely with cross-functional teams and executive management
  • Guide product features and capability development using key performance metrics and customer-product engagement patterns
  • Prepare and present the team’s results and product roadmaps to your team and to Esri leadership
  • Monitor and synthesize customer requirement from various feedback channels and share with the development team to collaborate and prioritize on the product’s roadmap
  • Communicate the vision of ArcGIS Online and its positioning at conferences and events
  • Collaborate with Global Business Development, the partner team, distributors, and product marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies

Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven experience in the product management, GIS software consulting, software requirement gathering, development, release, and support of software technology
  • Technical expertise, ideally with GIS, web services, and SaaS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Requirement for travel 10-20% of the time for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or other relevant field

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a team lead or a people manager
  • Experience with ArcGIS software, GIS, Web GIS, and location-based content
  • Experience and certifications with the in Pragmatic Marketing Framework

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $120,640.00 – $220,480.00.
