The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Lead Resident Assistant to provide excellent customer service and will assist in the safety and security of the residents, staff, and property of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless at Beacon Place. This position is also responsible for facility-oriented duties such as laundry, laying out breakfast for residents, auditing files, washing dishes, data entry, and booking of monthly rents. This position is located at 3636 West Colfax Ave., Denver, Colorado 80204and reports to the Program Manager.

Essential Job Functions
1. Maintains schedule of shift coverage including on-call employees’ schedules and utilizing temp agencies.
2. Responds to last-minute shift coverage changes.
3. Provides supervision to other Resident Assistants and Front Desk staff.
4. Assists Assistant Manager in interviewing and training on-call staff.
5. Trains all new Resident Assistants.
6. Maintains all office logs for census, shift checklists, schedules, RA trainings, etc.
7. Assists management and other staff in cultivating a culture of safety, respect, and service for all residents and staff at Beacon Place.
8. Provides excellent, trauma-informed Customer Service to residents, colleagues, and external partners.
9. Assists with administrative duties for Beacon Place.
10. Makes hourly building perimeter inspections of site to ensure a secure and safe environment.
11. Completes shift checklists on every shift.
12. Be quickly available in case of emergencies.
13. Remains onsite and awake through all shifts.
14. Performs laundry duty (washing and drying of linens) as required.
15. Washes any dishes/pots/pans/trays left over from dinner.
16. Lays out breakfast for residents and clean kitchen each morning.
17. Reviews and monitors resident files to ensure all documentation is present, alert Program Manager of any deficiencies, and maintain the organization of the closed files.
18. Communicates effectively with other Beacon staff through multiple means, including recording important information in the Daily Log at each shift.
19. Attends all required staff meetings.
20. Helps maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing daily facility care, such as shoveling snow, cleaning spills or messes as appropriate (this may include the cleaning and care of biological waste in the event a resident is ill or injured), etc.
21. Assists in special projects as assigned by the Program Manager.
22. Ability to learn RealPage/Onesite and manage the tracking of rent collection when needed.
23. Assists residents in accessing resources as needed.
24. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary
1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. Experience working with marginalized populations preferred.
3. Experience in homeless services and/or Behavioral Health services preferred.
4. CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen safety training preferred.
