JOB SUMMARY: Provides Universal Way Service Standards in cleaning, drying, and pressing Wardrobe for Team Members. Transport linens from various on-site locations to and from Laundry driving a box truck. Maintains a clean work area, cleans garments, and ensures proper tracking of garments being cleaned. Ensures quality garments are show ready for our guests. Will be operating multiple commercial grade laundry machines to include presses, oversized washers, steam tunnels, automated conveyor systems, laundry computer tracking software.
Payrate: $19/hr
Preferred Availability: Sunday-Thursday
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport linens and other items to and from Laundry and on-site and off-site locations, operating a box truck
- Provides work direction to Team Members. Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement.
- Ensures Quality, Sorting, and Staging are following all Wardrobe SOP guidelines set forth by management. Informs Team Members of current and new company policies and procedures.
- Ensures computerized garment tracking system is operational daily.
- Ensures all dryer filters, washer filters, presses, steam filters, sweep, dust, empty trash at end of shift. Ensures all machines are working properly and that staffing levels are appropriate.
- Assists in training new and current Team Members. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is preferred
EXPERIENCE: 2+ years’ experience using commercial laundry machines preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience operating a truck and/or forklift preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver’s license required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Responsible for the laundry services facility to include using a computerized inventory system, commercial laundry equipment. Will be required to drive a box truck and transport linens to and from on-site and off-site locations.
