Lead UX Designer

Location: Cupertino, CA or anywhere in the US (depending on experience level)

Juniper’s AI Driven Enterprise team is working on solutions for our customers that enable them to effectively manage and orchestrate their campus, branch, and data center environments. These solutions are delivered via services from a public Cloud or via on premise deployments. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented User Experience Designer that will help drive the user experience for these solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of the UX Design Team that is responsible for delivering fully thought out new features and refinements to the existing product.
  • Influence Engineering and Product Management teams on best user experience practices and design approaches.
  • Deliver a variety of fidelities with speed of implementation a goal alongside quality.
  • Collaborate with project managers, interface engineers, API engineers, and QA to all deliver on a feature.
  • You will be responsible for the UI and UX end to end flow of features.
  • Reports to the design lead with limited oversight.
  • Leverage, contribute and evolve an existing design system

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience ideally working in a UX team or agency environment doing interaction design for web based desktop applications (software, networking, wireless, web, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of interaction design, design thinking, and overall user experience methodologies.
  • Track record of designing experiences that delight users and help drive product acceptance.
  • Experience in defining, documenting, and communicating end-to-end user experience designs through specifications, use cases, prototypes, storyboards, screen mockups, and interactive demos.
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team and produce quick concept designs & prototypes. Flexibility to iterate frequently, with a passion and drive for building best in class solutions and applications.
  • Ability to influence others to support decisions. Comfortable working with engineering and product management teams to define and implement designs.
  • Experience working in a rapid application development environment using appropriate tools and techniques. Experience with agile development is a plus.
  • Must be a highly collaborative team player who will thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Figma / Sketch experience

Minimum Salary: $159,200.00

Maximum Salary:$228,850.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $159,200.00 and $228,850.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
