As the Leadership Development Training Specialist, you will:

  • Support the Leadership Development Administrator in developing, designing, and delivering leadership development programs.
  • Instruct and evaluate complex training projects, provide guidance for the interpretation and application skills and lessons taught during leadership programs. Supervise/coach learners and program participants.
  • Stay abreast of new training techniques and best practices.
  • Design, deploy and implement leadership activities to help improve leadership capabilities, effective communication, ideal culture, and clear constancy of purpose.
  • Lead, facilitate, and participate in talent development meetings to ensure group effectiveness and awareness.
  • Develop, update, and support onboarding of new leaders at UTA.
  • Serve as back up for the Leadership Development Administrator- representing the team on projects, committees, managers’ meetings, and other meetings as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Three years in learning and development including instructional design or curriculum development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in training and Development, Leadership Development, Human Resources, Communication, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of Leadership Pathway, Lead Where You Stand, Leadership Pathway Strengthening and Connecting Us, and Train the Trainer courses preferred but not required.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Must have classroom presentation skills, possess strong relationship building abilities and influencing skills to pull people together around common goals.
  • Preferred experience in developing training standards and knowledge of the ADDIE methodology; and in coordinating training efforts within a decentralized environment. Adept in applying adult learning theory, coaching practices, and instructor development.
  • Understanding of transit organization and systems (preferred)
  • Familiar with Arbinger and Tilt365 concepts and principles (preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of training program design and implementation
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS-PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred
  • Familiarity with Training Database Administration and record archiving procedures
  • Intermediate experience in Learning Management System (LMS) administration

Pay Rate: $69,000.00 negotiable depending on experience and education
