We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our People & Culture Team. This key role supports team members in the North America Travel Corporations family of brands.
Job Summary
Analyze organizational training needs. Design and conduct work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills and organizational performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying the training needs of individuals and teams.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with team members, focus groups, and consults with managers.
- Develop & design training programs and courses.
- Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness.
- Schedule, coordinate recruitment and placement of training program participants.
- Present trainings in a variety of instructional techniques or formats, i.e., Live-virtual, class style setting, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Develop training guides, or course materials, PowerPoint, MS Word, Articulate, Powtoon.
Information & Skills
- Distribution of work – 50% (15/20 hours per week) delivering content, 50% developing content/and assessing needs per team & location.
- Travel – You will travel to conduct in person trainings in offices throughout the USA.
- This exciting opportunity to work with various teams in different regions may potentially include international travel. Approximately 10 15% of the time.
- Service Orientation?- Actively look for ways to support teams. Develop constructive working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
- Education and Training?- Knowledge of principles and methods for training design, delivery, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Training Facilitation- The ability to communicate information successfully live and live virtual.
- Schedule Work and Activities? Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
- Collaboration?- Work together with L&D Assistant to plan, schedule and execute training tasks.
Salary Range
- $69,000.00 – $71,000.00
