Learning Experience Designer, ITS L&D

The IT Services Learning & Development team is looking for an experienced ITS learning experience designer to support the employee development of our IT Services Associates, Engineers, and Managers. This is an individual contributor position.

This position can be based out of either our Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA offices.

Key job responsibilities

In this LXD role, you will own learning experiences, instructional design, curriculum development, and training content for technical audiences. You will partner with program managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to identify L&D needs and objectives, discuss L&D priorities based on business goals, and secure resources. You will design, develop, and publish engaging course content, learning activities and knowledge assessments for instructor-led, online, virtual and blended modalities for IT engineers and managers. You will use available data to evaluate the program results and continuously improve them. You will raise the bar to make learning experiences more engaging, effective, and impactful across the ITS L&D team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience building learning objectives and knowledge assessments in tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, and Vyond

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Experience leveraging gamification, social learning, microlearning, project-based learning, simulations, personalized learning, collaborative learning, and other approaches that make learning experiences more engaging, effective, and impactful

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
