Learning Governance Project Manager (Hybrid)

Citi Learning and Development works to drive business performance by connecting employees with relevant and innovative learning experiences when and where they need them. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with team members to ensure successful completion of work across the entire team. The role will have involvement in multiple projects across the team including companywide strategic initiatives which are supported by the senior management of Citi. In addition, the role will require independent thinking and consultation skills in order to work with various partners to create project vision, communicate with key stakeholders, develop communication and change management plans and manage project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a portfolio of projects and ongoing management processes that span multiple client groups and may require differing PM approaches to planning and ongoing execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and triage questions related to policies, processes, and exceptions in the domain of learning governance.
  • Administer a monthly training forum including preparation, materials, meeting minutes and follow-ups as necessary.
  • Manage stakeholders across a broad remit including senior-level and executives.
  • Author and distribute forecasting reports for assigned large-audience training.
  • Track, research, and report training deployments vs. schedule to ensure plan adherence across stakeholder groups.
  • Serve as the backup and thinking partner for the Head of Assigned Training, Requirements, and Governance
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several initiatives simultaneously.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues and communicate them to project sponsors/stakeholders as required.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates risks to timing and execution of assigned deliverables as needed.
  • Support for special projects and executive requests as needed.
  • Promotes good working relationships across a project, cultivating the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project’s stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project’s results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment – Learning or Content Governance preferred.
  • Strong risk and control mindset with the ability to identify risks and develop proper controls and monitoring to mitigate risks as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at one time – and adapt to shifting demands.
  • Basic project management skills and experience with project management tools and methodologies including traditional/waterfall and Agile.
  • Ability to foster positive team dynamics, build relationships, and manage stakeholders effectively – the ideal candidate will have high emotional intelligence, be adaptable to change, and remain poised when challenged.
  • Self-starter capable of performing effectively in complex situations with limited guidance.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint – will be expected to analyze basic data and produce reporting regularly.
  • Strong execution orientation and ability to drive results and influence without authority – the ideal candidate will be able to effectively balance the ability to challenge and consult with the need to drive progress.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal to convey project status, signal risk, and celebrate success throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preferred – familiarity with Policies, Standards, Procedures, and Specifications specific to learning.
