Overview

Graham Packaging Company is adding a Learning & Organizational Excellence Manager to its team. If you are someone who is passionate and creative with the ability to cultivate connectivity, drive learning and foster belonging while connecting people to purpose, then join the Graham team in creating a better tomorrow! In this role you will focus on the employee experience and help establish and run programs to improve retention, morale, employee engagement and motivation amongst the global employee base. This is a new position for the Company and allows the chance to build something from the ground up. It is a rare opportunity for someone who has experience developing and implementing programs to make a true impact on our Company strategic initiative to Develop and Engage Employees.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the organization in the area of employee engagement and organizational culture. Development of an overall employee engagement strategy and mobilizing targeted and impactful solutions.
  • Lead the employee engagement survey process, manage the distribution, communication and analysis of results, conduct employee round table sessions with employees, partner with business leaders and the broad HR Team to develop impactful action plans and prioritize the most critical areas of feedback.
  • Lead the communication strategy in regard to employee experience; review and provide suggestions to content to ensure appropriate tone and strategy are reflected to raise awareness of initiatives and accomplishments
  • Recommend innovative ways and tools to drive connectivity and listening to create understanding and a sense of purpose at all levels of the global employee base
  • Implement a variety of engagement activities, events, and approaches across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain reports on employee engagement and organizational culture activities as well as create a repository for materials and best practices. Evaluate the results and impact of engagement activities and support provided.
  • Assist with organizational diagnosis, creation and implementation of other Talent Management practices and processes including Diversity &Inclusion, performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver best-in-class leadership development programs, resources and tools that build leadership capability to develop, apply and sustain knowledge and skills that have a measurable impact on Graham Packaging people and business results; maximize and leverage a variety of approaches including but not limited to eLearning, instructor-led training, assessments, mentoring, leaders as teachers, blogs, micro learning, coaching, etc
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Partners and other internal teams as appropriate to gain a holistic view of management and leadership opportunities and recommend learning or talent-based solutions.
  • Routinely measure and assess the impact of leadership development initiatives, report progress against objectives and leverage data and insights from programs, engagement surveys and styles & climate and other assessments to continuously enhance leadership program and resource offerings to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Lead and maximize features and functionality of our LMS technology (LITMOS)
  • Participate in special projects as assigned in a broad range of areas, as business needs arise.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive Human Resources, People Operations, people partnering or other relevant experience
  • Creative, energetic, motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
  • A true passion to succeed and get new initiatives off the ground
  • Team player with a sense of ownership and “get things done” attitude
  • Able to work at a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee matters with minimum supervision
  • Proven project management skills, including identifying and escalating issues and/or potential risks
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR Business Partner/People Partner practices including organization design, talent strategy, performance management, change management, training and development.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leaders, including the ability to frame engagement initiatives in strategic business terms, deliver and discuss difficult feedback and topics, and maintain appropriate confidentiality
  • Organized with attention to detail and ability to make timely, effective, principle-based decisions
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal) and exemplary customer service skills; articulate and persuasive communicator
  • A track record of providing HR/People advice and solutions to senior leaders on employee and organizational issues
  • Strong track record in developing, implementing and facilitating actionable L&D initiatives
  • Ability to build partnerships and establish rapport and credibility at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, utilize metrics, and make data driven recommendations or decisions to resolve issues.
  • Experience in developing and implementing change management, learning and training initiatives and communications planning.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint and learning management systems. Experience in LITMOS preferred.

The standard compensation for this role is $89,600 – $129,400. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
