The Role:
As the primary golf professional on the course, your role as Starter/Ranger to ensure that the golf related needs of the guests are met and their golf experience exceeds their expectations. If you are a golf loving, guest services focused individual, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain control over the golfers while they are on the course for the benefit of all who play.
- Learn and understand the golf course layout, golf course rotation, rules and reservation system.
- Track tee times to manage pace of play.
- Respond in a friendly manner to the golfers’ questions, requests, and concerns.
- Be an ambassador of good will for Mad Russian and TRPR as a whole.
- Check receipts, greet and start all groups, pair up groups/individual players, and provide playing opportunities for walk-ons.
- Monitor weather conditions and proactively alert guests to dangerous conditions up to and including removing golfers from the course (e.g. lightning, hail, etc.).
- Provide timely updates and communications regarding pace of play, status of tee times, course conditions and other pertinent information to the Golf Pro Shop.
- Assist in set-up and operation of tournaments, leagues, events, outings, etc.
- Respond to emergencies in a professional manner and alert necessary personnel.
- Perform other necessary duties as they are assigned.
Desired skills and qualifications
- 18+
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette – love of the game is a plus!
- Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to have a firm, but friendly disposition.
- Be a team player – build and maintain working relationships with the Golf team.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule to include early morning/opening, late evening/closing, weekends, and holidays.
